The MIKE CAIRD boxing story: By Brian Zelley Mike was an amateur boxer until 1964 and was a 1963 BC Golden Gloves Champion. After boxing, Mike would turn to coaching. In 1974, Ian Weir. Brian Zelley and Dan Wright would join up with Mike to revive boxing in Victoria. After that photo, the Victoria Boxing Club rejoined the London Boxing Club. In 1976, Mike, Brian and boxing commissioner received appreciation certificates from the BC Amateur Boxing Association under the direction of president Walter Boyce. In August 1976, the Victoria Athletic Association replaced the London Boxing club.
